I HAVE TO HAVE YOU - MARGIE HINES
DIZZY DISHES (TALKERTOONS) 1930 |

In the 1930 short Dizzy Dishes, Betty Boop makes her big debut as a female dog flapper who catches the eye of Fleischer's star character Bimbo. When Betty Boop performs I Have To Have You on stage, Bimbo - and the whole world - falls in love with her. The song had originally been sung by Helen Kane in the 1929 film Pointed Heels. That movie's soundtrack also features Ain'tcha, which is performed by Mae Questel as Betty Boop in the 1932 film The Betty Boop Limited.

I HAVE TO HAVE YOU
Loving,
I have to have loving,
But when I'm having my loving.
I have to have,
Poop-Oop-a-Doopy, now!
Boop-Poop-a-Doop!
Moments,
Oh, I must have my moments,
But when I'm having my moments,
I have to have you.
Boop-Poop-a-Doop-Boo!
I'm so blue,
Waiting for you,
To take me.
Oh, I can't go on like this,
Give me a kiss, huh?
And make me,
Poop-Oop-a-Doop-a-Doop!
Whoopee!
I want to make,
Whoopee!
And if I want to make,
Whoopee!
I have to have,
Poop-a-Doop-a-Doop-a-Doop-Boop-Oop-a-Doop!
Whoopee!
Loving,
I have to have loving,
But when I'm having my loving.
I have to have,
Poop-Oop-a-Doopy, now!
Boop-Poop-a-Doop!
Moments,
Oh, I must have my moments,
But when I'm having my moments,
I have to have you.
Boop-Poop-a-Doop-Boo!
I'm so blue,
Waiting for you,
To take me.
Oh, I can't go on like this,
Give me a kiss, huh?
And make me,
Poop-Oop-a-Doop-a-Doop!
Whoopee!
I want to make,
Whoopee!
And if I want to make,
Whoopee!
I have to have,
Poop-a-Doop-a-Doop-a-Doop-Boop-Oop-a-Doop!
Whoopee!
