HOT-CHA-CHA - sung by chorus girls and off-screen chorus
DIZZY DISHES (TALKARTOONS) 1930 HOT-CHA-CHA - sung by off-screen chorus at beginning
CRAZY TOWN (TALKARTOONS) 1932 Hot-Cha-Cha was composed by Phil Boutelje - the pianist for the Paul Whiteman orchestra at the time. By the early 1930's Boutelje moved to California to find work in Hollywood. He found work as a music director for Paramount, and later United Artists, and by the early 1940's he had earned himself two Academy Award nominations. He contributed a vast amount of music to film soundtracks - much of it uncredited. Hot-Cha-Cha appeared in the 1930 Talkartoon short Dizzy Dishes. The song was also used in the 1932 Talkartoon short Crazy Town.
