Aloha Oe was composed by Lili'uokalani - Hawaii's Queen from 1891 to 1893. The farewell song is one of the most famous and well-know songs in the history of Hawaiian music. It has been recorded countless times since the early 1900's, and it has appeared on the big screen numerous times since appearing in the 1936 Bing Crosby musical Waikiki Wedding. In 1938, the song is played at the end of the Betty Boop short Thrills and Chills
