The song was based on the British music hall song Kelly From The Isle Of Man, Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly, and it was re-worked for the 1909 American musical The Jolly Bachelors. In 1926, Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly was featured on a Fleischer Song Car-Tune short.
