You Came To My Rescue was written in 1936 by Leo Robin and Ralph Ranger for the Paramount film The Big Picture Of 1937. It was also used by Max Fleischer in 1937 in a "follow the bouncing ball" Screen Songs cartoon featuring Shep Fields with the Rippling Rhythm Orchestra and Larry Stewart.
